Five Speed: Free Multi-Gear Delay Plugin by Odd Duck Audio
Odd Duck Audio has released Five Speed, a streamlined free delay plugin for 2026 that packages five practical delay styles into an intuitive gearstick interface. The plugin delivers immediate access to essential time-based effects without cumbersome menu diving or unnecessary modulation matrices. You can download the software directly from the developer at no cost without any registration barriers.
Five Delays in a Single Gearbox
Five Speed takes an automotive-inspired approach to delay design by replacing complex sub-menus with a five-position gear selector. Each gear engages a dedicated delay topology tailored for specific production tasks, ranging from a tight slapback echo in first gear to an expansive, wash-heavy ambient delay in fifth gear.
Under the hood, the plugin offers straightforward controls for feedback regeneration, tone shaping via high-pass and low-pass filtering, and an output wet/dry mix. Whether you need a subtle vocal doubler, rhythmic quarter-note sync for lead synths, or cascading echo tails for dub production, Five Speed lets you switch sonic characters on the fly while locking to host tempo.
